I found a way, I just used a if statement inside damage dropped and make them return a different metadata. I had them make an item all the time, but it came out with the metadata of the block, instead of the metadata of the item I wanted. So I just took

if (metadata == "<the block I wanted to change ex. 2>")
{
  return metadata + 1)
}
