Hello! I am trying to add the 1.9 dual wielding into my 1.8.9 mod. Right now I have already added the extra slot to the inventory, and was able to get the item to render correctly in third person however I have no idea on how to do this for the first person view!

I tried looking into minecraft code and found Minecraft.getMinecraft().getItemRenderer().renderItem(Player, itemstack, ItemCameraTransforms.TransformType.FIRST_PERSON);

but it only renders a hand that is detached from the player and doesnt rotate with the player...I have tried rotating/scaling/translating but I cant seem to get it to look proper.

I feel like there has to be an easier way :)!

Since you ask - update. 8)

For reals m8 - I can't even think of a way to explain why what you are trying to do is so damn wrong... (one of them being waste of your time)

Not to pick up a fight. :)

1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.

IExtendedEntityProperties

was replaced by the Capability system, a more extensible system that allows you to attach capability objects to any implementation of

ICapabilityProvider

(

Entity

,

TileEntity

and

ItemStack

are the vanilla implementations).

For examples, look at the capabilities provided by Forge itself (

CapabilityItemHandler

,

CapabilityFluidHandler

,

CapabilityAnimation

), the Forge capability test mod or my own mod's capabilities (API, implementation).

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
