September 27, 20169 yr That is just too vague. What kind of mod are we looking at? TBH - in any case best way it tosimply rewrite whole thing from scraps. No point in copying anything since everything changed. 1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.
September 27, 20169 yr It took me a around two weeks to update my mod from 1.8 to 1.10, so it just depends on how large your mod is. You will probably not need rewrite everything, however my recommendation would be to update that which your IDE tells you first (the function names, variables etc.). Then just fire up your mod and see what's working and what's not. I still haven't published a mod because I can never get that in-dev version just right to warrant a public release. And yes, after two years of mod development I am still learning to speak Java. September 27, 20169 yr The most significant thing you are going to see when updating is that rendering and blocks have changed. Blocks shouldn't be so hard top update, but rendering can be annoying when first starting off. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/
