having trouble with my modes not showing up

i download the forge and downloaded mods then inserted them in to mods folder created by forge but when minecraft loads no mods show up in the mod option in the game please help forge  version 1.11-forge1.11-13.19.1.2191

2) Make sure the mods are actually for 1.11 and gotten from a reliable source such as minecraftforums or curseforge
