[1.4.6] TileEntity/Block Facing Problem

I'm working on a custom chest and I want it to be placed, if you use a "spawn item" like the sign item.

But when it is placed it always faces North instead facing the player.

    • It sounds to me like you're trying to register an item or block in the wrong place. Check to make sure you're handling the registries in the right place.
