Hey guys, so i was attempting to make a custom tree, but ran into a crash that i cant figure out how to fix or whats causing it with the leaves.

Crash Report:

http://pastebin.com/i9T3vTjA

RubberLeaves:
http://pastebin.com/STLZU272

the rendering in game isnt working correct either, inventory is fine but placed isnt, and there are no texture errors in console

BlockState:

{
"variants": {
"normal": { "model": "techexpansion:rubber_leaves" },
"inventory": { "model": "techexpansion:rubber_leaves" }
}
}

and block model json:

{
"parent": "block/leaves",
"textures": {
"all": "techexpansion:blocks/rubber_leaves"
}
}

Yes i registered the render in my modblocks class

The crash looks like this issue, which was fixed in Forge 1.11.2-13.20.0.2235. Update to the latest of version of Forge and it will either crash with a clearer message or not crash at all.

However the root cause of the issue is the fact that your Block is being rendered as the missing model. The FML log will have an error in it stating exactly why this is, but I suspect it's because your Block has two properties that aren't accounted for in the blockstates file. To fix this, either register an IStateMapper for your Block to ignore those properties (recommended) or include them in your blockstates file (not recommended).

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

All right i updated forge which fixed it from crashing.

So now, what exactly is an  IStateMapper and how can i go about setting one?
