Need major help I am clueless to download mario mod for my son

Ive opened countless file after file, so confused. It says I need mod something, then it says I need forge, then a bunch of files get downloaded and I have no clue how to put in jar or where the jar etc.

If someone can please send me links and specific instructions my son would be soooo happy.

He wants mario mod so badly and it pains and frustrates me that I cant do it.

P.s. I have windows laptop and have minecraft 1.4.7 loaded. (no mouse)

do you notice that it stops the internal server for the singleplayer worlds.
