Posted May 18, 20178 yr I downloaded the latest installer, forge-1.11.2-13.20.0.2298-installer.jar, and I tried to run it on a macbook air. It prompts me for admin login to approve (translated from swedish): "OS X is trying to allow a program to be always running". I did not want to approve this without investigating, as I don't recall seeing this when I last installed forge. Also, it seems odd that forge would require to always be running on the computer. (Rather, it seems like something malware would want). So, is it correct that forge requires this, and if so, why? Thanks,
May 18, 20178 yr After a bit of Googling, I think it means "always run without a prompt asking you if it's safe to run a JAR file", rather than "this program is running 24/7". Assuming you downloaded Forge from the official file server, it should be safe. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored!
