I want to install a mod on the 1.12 version of minecraft, but i also got mod installed on the 1.11.2 version, so when i start up my 1.12 forge game, it says that the 1.11.2 mods are outdated,

Is there a possible way to play with my mods on 1.12 while keeping my other mods in 1.11.2?

That doesn't really help, unless i've gotta put the game directory somewhere else (which i don't know where) it doesn't work, it says i need to update my mods, if it helps i put all my mods in the Mods folder

Yes, of course you need to put the game directory somewhere else. Where? It doesn't matter. The game directory is just where that particular version will put it's mods, configs, worlds, etc. This way you can have multiple versions side by side without interference.

So you mean i can just make a new .Minecraft folder (named differently) and everything will be put there?

Yes, if you change the Game Directory setting in the launcher profile.

Alright, it worked so thank you!!
