Posted July 25, 20178 yr Hi guys! I am looking for now 2 days for a solution with my problem but found nothing... )-: Here's my problem: I want to make an entity that uses an .obj file. I found somebody who has an open-source mod, that uses 3D-OBJ-Models. But, well it was very complicated and when I tried it the mod crashed... So do you have any ideas how to solve my problem? And it would be nice if you could explain it to me, because I'm not so familiar with mod-coding... Thank's Herobone If my English is not perfect it is not my fault! It's the fault of my teacher, parents, friends and google translator!

July 27, 20178 yr Afaik forge provides no built-in .obj support(apart from block/item models) so you have to write your own obj parser and renderer. Wikipedia will help you with parsing an obj file, it's not that complex, and rendering is also pretty straight-forward, depending on how exactly you are handling the model. I also have a very inefficient yet simple example of a custom obj parser here.
