[1.12] [Solved] Problem with different TileEntities on server and client

Featured Replies

I'm currently trying to learn Minecraft Modding with Forge by making my own mod. I have made a Furnace-like block that runs on solar power.

I have successfully made the block (The SolarFurnace), TileEntity and am now connecting the GUI to it.

When i started to create the progress bar I stumbled on a problem.

It seems that its not the same TE instance that ticks up the progress (the update function in my TE class) and that returns the progress to the GUI (from the drawGuiContainerBackgroundLayer function in my GUI class). I get in total three different TE memory addresses, two different in WorldServer and one in WorldClient when I debug.

Why is there two different TE's in my worldServer? And how can I syncronize this or...

Ah, problem solved, I had to implement following for syncronazation:

In Container Class:

    @Override
    public void detectAndSendChanges() {   }

    @SideOnly(Side.CLIENT)
    @Override
    public void updateProgressBar(int id, int data) {   }

In TE class:
    @Override
    public int getField(int id) {  }

    @Override
    public void setField(int id, int value) {  }

    @Override
    public int getFieldCount() {  }

And implement the transferred data in to the fields.
