I downloaded a forge file for a server with my friends, did everything you would usually do for a vanilla server, then put the mods in the mods folder. I tried to run the forge universal file in my Server folder, but it would just be open for a little while then closes. This is for 1.12.1

You need to use the installer to set up the server, did you do that?
Please post the FML log (logs/fml-server-latest.log).

I did use the installer to set up the server, and that should be the latest FML log

Please clarify. You said it works without any mods. Now what did you do after that?

I did what you said, adding the mods one by one into the mods folder in my server folder. After that, I ran the Forge Universal jar

No, what I meant was:
Add one mod. Run Forge. Does it work? Great, next mod. Rinse and repeat until you found the broken mod.

I figured out what the mod was broken. Should I reinstall it to see if it works?

Yes, 1.12 mods do not necessarily work on 1.12.1.

I wasn't able to get download a version of Tinkers Construct that wouldn't crash the server. However, I think I'll just remove Tinkers Construct. Thank you for your help on finding why my server kept crashing :D
