Hi, hope I'm posting in the right place. Sorry if not.  Need some help.. Downloaded forge with no problem. Launched minecraft, and the forge isn't there? Old versions are like 1.7 a61457-forge-not-showing-upnd s61457-forge-not-showing-upo on but no 1.12? It's in the versions file but when i launch minecraft is not in the drop down?? Please help. Can't uoload an image for some reason.

Yes I have. Nothing. Like i said it's in the version folder but doesn't make it to the launcher.. Can't figure it out.

my 9 year old says the new Minecraft launcher 1.12.2 the new update..

Damn, I'm sure. And yes it's the correct launcher. I Did take all of the versionsout of the "version"  folder to see if it would leave the launcher too but the previous versions were still in the launcher.

I'm sure thats it too. 

There is no .Minecraft there. Shows  the time, cdp, chm, cev  bib, and abunch of launchers. Nothing  that says. Minecraft though. Why can't i attach a pic here????

For the next guy this happens to. You have to copy your "saves", "resource pk" and whatever else you want like maybe screenshot and mods to your desktop and delete .Minecraft then it works. Restart the game and then reinstall forge and it works.
