Im so frustrated. Ive been at this for hours. I am using the Hatchery mod. Hwyla makes Hatchery not so tedious and fun. Well, it was working, all mods included, flawlessly. So theres no conflicting mods, Im usually careful about that, anyways.  But I was trying to see if there was a setting to help me see the egg info in Hatchery like earlier Waila did. I clicked on one setting, then the game crashed. I thought, "well, lesson learned. Fine, I'll just restart it and never click the options again." It started up and it crashed again. So I deleted the mod (the game works fine without it) and then re-downloaded several versions from different sites (all the same versions apparently, stupid me) of Hwyla including earlier versions and tried each separately. None worked, the game kept crashing. I deleted the config files and again, nothing worked. I even spent a few hours trying to learn how to read crash reports. FAIL!!! I dont know how you people do it lol. So any help deciphering why Hwyla, no matter what, doesnt want to work now, suddenly, would be appreciated. All suggestions are welcome (except the obvious, delete the mod or mods option. It worked fine before with them). Heres the crash report:

Wow! Thats totally lame!  I didnt know that was a thing. How do you find the originals? I mean, a lot of the ones I did download took me to the original site to download them, but I never even thought of that. Thanks for the heads up, now I feel like poo,though. I know so much work has to go into these mods  

As for your suggestion, as I listed previously, I tried that already and tried to download Hwyla from the original site few times as well. I notice though that they seemed to have abandoned Waila and started Hwyla for some reason because Waila is no longer being updated. Strange thing though, the config files still say Waila not Hwyla. Anyways, The point, just for thoroughness, I deleted all config files because it appears deleting just Waila's didnt work, I figured I might have missed something.

I hate to sound like a noob, but how do I find them?

sometimes what it happens is that is toggle out try to press numpad1 if it work at least you know it is not broken, the next thing will be see if you have the same settings as i do go to your mod list/mod options search for: hwyla or waila. Then press waila and go to the config it will show a the name of the mod and a warning with 3 options  Waila , Modules and Back. press Waila once again to proceed

if the Shaw/hide waila is "hidden" change it to "visible" 

check if the debug menu can be interfering with the mod  change the setting *hide from debug menu* to NO. 

 

Also check if the "Toggled/Maintained" is on TOGGLED other wise you will have to be pressing numpad1 if you want to check the description

After that close all the settings and go back to the game check if you have Numpad ON and hold press Numpad1 once and see if it stay there please check that NUMlock is ON in all times other wise this will not work until you activate hopes this manage to help for those people that like to press all the buttons of the keyboard and dont know what we mess up it is important to make clear that im currently playing a Ver of this mod in 2022 this might or might not work for you people of the future sorry for my  bad English the mod pack im using is call "[The 1.12.2 PACK]"
