Need some help w/Forge 1.7.2.... its getting annoying

So my son has been bugging me to help him with modding the game to make it so he can have star wars items in the game.  Ok no big deal... Here I am 4 hours later and have figured out how to roll back the versions of minecraft to 1.7.2 to use the mod.  But now after all that got forge 1.7.2 installed using the windows installer,  got the old launcher yadda yadda.

Any Ideas on what I need to do to fix said issue?  I have removed the game entirely and reinstalled to no avail,  the only mod that is there is the starwars mod under the .minecraft/mods folder .  Even with that not in there its not loading.  

Any help would be appreciated.  My eyes are going crosseyed trying to figure this out.
