I downloaded forge 1.8.9 and I already had 1.12.2 forge. So when I tried to go with my mod folder it said "a mod wants to run 1.12.2" and the mod name was one of my 1.12.2 mods.It said more info in fml-client-latest.log. I couldnt find a folder called that on my computer or the internet, so i just deleted the mod that it was saying it needs to run 1.12.2. Now it's still saying that and I dont know what to do

So if i understand it correctly, you removed the "Advanced Combat" mod, and it still doesn't work? If so, can you show the new message you get on your screen?
