I'm trying to install forge for version 1.12.2 (using Forge: forge-1.12.2-14.23.2.2611-installer-win).

However, whenever I try to run the installer, nothing happens, except that an empty .log file is created
with no additional information...

I have attempted to install Forge using the .exe version aswell as the .jar version through cmd (run as admin).

Whenever I try to run the .jar through cmd however, Java crashes, I have tried reinstalling java twice.

After I reboot my PC I'm able to run the .exe version, and get it to open the installer, however, actually attempting
to install Forge this way, results in Java crashing, and Forge not being installed correctly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Issue seems to have been fixed, reinstalling my JDK aswell, plus redoing CLASS_PATH seems to have solved the issue.
