Got forge to run, installed asm then put the .jar for the GLSL shaders mod in the mod folder but it prevents me from loading the game. Here's my debug log :

Related but different. The main issue with my first post actually was this mod making my forge crash and not load up. I then realized to have any significant graphical upgrade I would have to actually run this with Forge so now I'm back to square one-ish ? I'm new to forums in general so let me know if this is indeed a double post and I will correct that. The aim here is to run Forge supplemented with that mod not Forge alone which is why I thought it needed a new thread possibly ? Also took a nap so forgive the tardy response. Please let me know if I need to update this in any way. Thank you !

I am not exactly sure what you are asking? Most of the time shader mods need to be made for the exact version of forge you are using similar to optifine. So you won't be able to the shaders mod for 1.12 on forge 1.12.2

I was asking why putting the GLSL Shaders mod in my mods folder makes my forge crash upon loading. That wasn't the issue, all versions were 1.12.2. I was trying to use GLSL Shaders with the miscomprehension that it was a prerequisite to run shaders. I've now installed shaders properly ( along with pixelmon ) and I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. Thanks for the help !
