Hi. I apologize if this is being posted in the wrong place. My 8 yr old son would like to run the Ships mod on minecraft. I (his mother) have taught myself how to install forge 1.13.2. It appears correctly in the minecraft java launcher screen. However, upon opening forge there is the error message as pictured on the attached file. We use minecraft java version 1.13.
Is this error message appearing because the ships mod does not work with forge version 1.13? Can I just install an earlier version of forge and then the shops mod will work? Or will an earlier version of forge not now work with minecraft 1.13?

Thank you for any help,

thank you. that will explain why the HTTYMD mod with our forge version of 1.12  stopped working when minecraft updated itself to 1.13.

Follow up question in case anyone fancies answering - is it possible to install and run version 1.7 of minecraft? So that you can get a mod to work?
