"Not Responding" "Timed Out" When trying to Connect To Server.

Hello. I have been trying to connect to a specific modded server for a very long time. Every time that I try to connect I get 'Not Responding" at the top left of my screen, and a loading symbol on my cursor. This happens always- right when I click connect, during the "Logging In" part, and twice when it is attempting to load me into the server. After that, all it says for the error is just "Timed Out". I tried updating Forestry but it still didn’t work. Any other ideas?
