Can't get Forge to run! Using Minecraft 1.14.4 and forge-1.14.4-28.0.11-installer on Ubuntu 16.04 with Java 8

Quote

openjdk version "1.8.0_212"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_212-8u212-b03-0ubuntu1.16.04.1-b03)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.212-b03, mixed mode)

 

 

Launcher Log throws this error:

ERROR]: Couldn't load local version /home/Fred49/.minecraft/versions/1.14.4-forge-28.0.11/1.14.4-forge-28.0.11.json
