[1.12.2] Recipe advancement for conditional recipe

I have a custom recipe that is conditional based on a setting in my mod's config. Depending on how the user sets up the config, the recipe may or may not be available. I also have an advancement for the recipe, so it automatically gets added to the user's recipe book when they get the appropriate items. This causes an error when the recipe is turned off in the config, because the advancement doesn't recognize the recipe.

Is there some way to make the advancement conditional, as well? Or another way to deal with the issue?

There must be I think. I'm just trying to get any advancement to work! -- Where did you find out how to add them?

In terms of your question, perhaps when the advancement condition is met, you could test the configs? Sorry this is so vague, but I'm struggling with the lack of documentation on this subject too!

Give logs, code, desired effects, and actual effects. Be thorough or we can't help you. Don't post code without putting it in a code block (the <> button on the post - select "C-type Language"): syntax highlighting makes everything easier, and it keeps the post tidy.

Couldn't find many but managed to page through the info on the minecraft wiki to find the right JSON format. All done for the moment now!
