updated forge now minecraft won't run

Hello, I was having a similar problem before where "gradlew runclient" continually failed. 

it turned out to be something to do with Logger in my code. but after fixing that, I managed to get to run complete with my mod and items. however, I couldn't find the "client-extra" folder for the json files. so I updated forge, ran "gradlew eclipse" and im back to square one. there is nothing erroring in my code, so I am at a loss.

 

has anyone run into this problem?
