Hello,

I try to develop my first minecraft mod and have some problems.

You can find the code here: https://github.com/Gamewalker/SuperPotatoe/tree/master/src/mods/superpotatoe/common

My first problem is that my https://github.com/Gamewalker/SuperPotatoe/blob/master/src/mods/superpotatoe/common/blocks/PotatoePowerTileEntity.java wont save my signal strength (always 0). My debug logs prints signal strength 0 but if I watch the same debug log at increase/decrease function, the output is correct.

My second problem is how to update a block? After I change the signal strength in my GUI I want to update the https://github.com/Gamewalker/SuperPotatoe/blob/master/src/mods/superpotatoe/common/blocks/PotatoePowerBlock.java to change the return value of isProvidingWeakPower.

Ah ok, nice info thx. I think the TileEntity have the same problem. The save will happen on server side and the server side don´t have the new value.

Hi,

I got the update Server thing working and writeToNBT gets the right value. But what else I have to do?

If I reconnect, the client got the default value and what about other players? Do I need to inform the server

about the change and the server informs all other player about the change?

I think I got my error. Block was updated before the package arrived at server :)
