Hi. I have a simple custom block with an OBJ model that is working well. What I'd like to do is use properties/metadata to apply a submodel to my block as a variant. My property, called "socketed", is working well as far as I can tell; in game I can place and pickup my block and inspect the metadata before and after, and it is correct. My problem is I never see my submodel. Now I'm questioning if blockstate even supports submodel with OBJ files... can someone confirm this for me?

Edit: I just want to make sure my question is clear. Is it possible to leverage the submodel feature that blockstate files have with OBJ models?

Here is my blockstate file:

{
    "forge_marker": 1,
    "defaults": {
 		"model": "teleporterstones:stone_v005.obj",
 		"transform" : "forge:default-block"
    },
    "variants": {
        "normal": [{}],

        "socketed": {
        	"true": {
        		"submodel": "teleporterstones:stonegems_v006.obj"
        	},
        	"false": { }
        }
    }
}

Thanks in advance!
