Forge 1.12.2 Installer stuck

Hi, I'm running MacOS and currently attempting to use the installer for 1.12.2, however, it's getting stuck on the following step:

 

"Unpacking packed file akka-actor_2.11-2.3.3.jar.pack.xz"

 

No .log file is produced, as it doesn't crash, it just never gets past this step.

 

My installation of Minecraft is clean but has the following JVM argument:

 

"-Xmx2048M -Xms2048M"

 

Any help appreciated please!

Im not from forge but I had nearly the same issue and they sad that 1.12+ is not supported anymore

That seems odd, since this version is required to run CubicChunks, or am I missing something?
