Installer downloads as a .zip

I was looking for a tutorial on how to install, and in all of them the installer downloads as a java program that is able to be run, but I keep getting a zip file. I did not have Java installed, so I installed it but it did not fix the issue. Please help. Thank you!

Well, the installer definitely comes as a .jar file on that page. If it is a .zip file for you, something is seriously wrong with your computer.

Please verify the file is actually a zip file and not just a jar file opening with the wrong software.
