forge 1.12.2 help needed

so i've been trying for a while now to download forge 1.12.2 but when i get to the downloading screen it just says downloading libraries and unpacking packed file akka-actor_2.11_2.3.3.jar.pack.xz and then does not load no matter how long i keep it like this for. does anyone know how to get it to load?
