I'm looking to add support for other mods, and I want to only register an item if said mod is present.

For example only load a custom sword if cooking for blockheads is installed.

It might not be good practice to avoid registering an item for all I know, so if there are any other alternatives I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for your time!

You should always register all your registry entries.

You can then remove them from the creative menu and disable the recipes using recipe conditions.

I see, thank you for your help :)

Is there an easy way to remove them from the creative menu if the mod is not present?
