Forge 28.2.18 crashing on launch with 1.14.4

I tested on a fresh install with 1.14.4 and forge 28.2.18 and no mods. Here's my debug.log: https://pastebin.com/qHz8qBFU

 

I searched the forum for a similar problem and tried some suggestions, like reverting to forge 28.2.0 or deleting the config folder. Nothing worked. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

For anyone having the same problem on Ubuntu 18.04, you need to install the openjdk-8 packages and then update your 1.14.4 installation to use /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/bin/java
