When I downloaded Minecraft forge 1.12, it downloaded successfully, and the window on which you must select "Install Client" popped up immediately. When I try to open Minecraft forge 1.12.2, however, there is no such window, and all I get is a notification, asking me to "Check console for possible error messages." I've seen this happen to other users, but all the fixes which worked for them have done nothing to help my cause. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm using a Mac OS Mojave, and Minecraft runs fine, so I'm assuming I have java installed.

Update! I have installed a version of Minecraft forge 1.12.2 which overcomes this glitch, however when I try to load the game with the mod I want, Minecraft crashes, and tells me it was the fault of the mod I'm using. Should I use a different download for forge 1.12.2? How can I get Minecraft to load when it crashes because of my mod?
