Forge Not Installing as an App?

Just a quick warning; I'm new to this and not very good at grammar and tech, so I'd like to apologize for any errors.

When I try to open the Forge installer, I was told that I did not have that app. When I tried again, it asked me which app I wanted to use to open the file. It still didn't allow me on. I noticed that it had a different imagine from the one described, as it was just a piece of paper rather than the anvil/book I'd seen. It appears it's downloading like a file rather than a launcher. My computer is an Acer Aspire 3 if that has anything to do with it.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there an easy fix to this?

How to add my mob to another mod's biome in 1.20.1.

You can add mob spawns using Forge's Biome Modifiers feature. I won't go into details on how to use a data generator for them, but here's a simple example:

How to change player renderer and transform model parts?

I have been trying for a while now to make a custom player renderer, and replace the vanilla player renderer with it. So far I've come up with a custom player renderer class that extends vanilla PlayerRenderer:

This logic isn't replacing the renderer, as far as I can tell. Can someone please advise as to why, and how to fix it?
