Basically, the title. The current "recommended" version of forge for 1.12.2 does not function, and in fact, no version seems to function after build 14.23.5.2768. I've seen a few other threads asking about this, but all are shut down with a standard "1.12 no longer supported" message.

But frankly, I think this should be addressed, as clearly a version was pushed and is being modded for that doesn't function correctly for many users.

What stands out to me in the error message is that it seems to crash with the Launch wrapper giving a fail to launch, which frankly seems like a pretty glaring issue to have in a release version.

And before you say "update to a more modern version" Duh. I would if the mods I use allowed for it, but clearly they don't or I wouldn't be trying to use 1.12.2, right?
