Hello there!

 

I am fairly new to modded Minecraft, and I wanted to try out some mods, so I figured that I could just download the latest version of Forge (version 1.16.4 - 35.1.0). I was able to download the installer from the site and run it, but when I clicked 'OK' from the install menu nothing happens, except for a window that flashes for a brief second before disappearing. 

 

Does anybody know why this is happening, and what I can do to fix it?

 

In case it helps, I have attached a screenshot of the window that pops up for a split second before closing itself.

    For some reason I can't find any log file related to this. Do you know where to check for one?

    Nothing is generated.
