Game crashes when I open forge

I play on a Mac Desktop, and I tried to download Forge for 1.16.4. I was able to get it onto the Minecraft Files, but whenever I open it through the launcher, it crashes and an error says "Game Crashed

An unexpected issue has occurred, and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience

Exit Code: 0"

Is this supposed to happen? How can I fix this?
