Hello! I've been trying to get into mods and modpacks recently, the first day I started I downloaded java and forge for 16.4. It worked fine, it opened like any video said it should and I got to play my games. Then me and my friend wanted to play a mod pack. I started getting a 12.2 forge and such. My game ended up crashing from the amount of mods which honestly made sense and I had to restart my computer. My computer did have to update though (for context it's a windows computer). And when I tried going back into my 16.4 forge it just wouldn't open. It wouldn't say 'this browser cannot open'. It just-didn't do anything. I right clicked on the forge and clicked 'open with java' and nothing happened. It loaded for like 2 seconds then nothing appeared.

I am young so please don't get too frustrated with me if I can't figure this out with instructions, thank you:)

You should just be double-clicking the installer, do not try to "open with Java", it will not work.

If you cannot double click it:

Some zip managers like to take control of the .jar file extension away from Java.
Make sure you have Java installed and try running Jarfix once, then try the installer again.

Okay thank you! I'll try this out soon
