teleporting sword

ive been trying to make a custom sword that teleports on right clicks and sends the sword through the air like a enderpearl but you can get it back ive been trying to partially use bits from enderpearl codes but im just not sure what im missing, if you have a idea how to do it please tell me and i can post my classes for anyone who would like to tell me what is wrong.

    I wouldn't look through the enderpearl for that effect. EyeofEnder should have that fly effect, when it flys towards the fortress.
