Hi there,

I'm not sure if there has been a thread about this yet but regardless, I could not find any useful information on this issue.

I just got a new Macbook Pro with the latest M1 chip and after downloading, installing and launching Forge 1.16.4, a window pops up named "FML early loading progress" (see screenshot attached). It seems that during this process the program crashes. I have no additional mods installed other than Forge 1.16.4. I have removed and reïnstalled both minecraft and forge multiple times and the same issue persists.

I have attached the crash report and a screenshot for visual aid.

Do you think this is an issue with minecraft/java/forge not being optimized for the new M1 system?

Would really appreciate some help with this as I have always had a bias against MacOS and am starting to regret my decision betraying my previous windows gaming rig.

Thanks in advance.

Robin
