Making a gui with a custom texture

Hey guys! i've searched in the internet about this, but i still doesnt see how to do it, if anybody knows, can you guys tell me about how to make a custom textured button?

for the default texture, it is using an image from assets/minecraft/gui/widgets.png, i wonder if i can change the image? Thanks.

The thing is, how am i supposed to extend GuiScreen and GuiButton?

Oh, i still use 1.8.9 cuz i wanna make a mod for pvp or something like that.

I know i need to update to get more help, but if you can just tell me how to do it, its okay
