I've been trying to add an item and a brewing recipe into the game with forge 1.16.4. And I've got the item showing up in the creative menu, but there is something wrong with my recipe.

This is my registration class and method

public class BrewingRecipeRegistry {
    public static void initiate(FMLCommonSetupEvent event) {
        System.out.println("Registration checkpoint");
        event.enqueueWork(()->addRecipe(
                Ingredient.fromStacks(PotionUtils.addPotionToItemStack(new ItemStack(Items.POTION), Potions.WATER)),
                Ingredient.fromStacks(new ItemStack(Items.DIRT)),
                new ItemStack(new MyItem())));
    }
}

In the console, I confirmed that this method was called. But what was brewed was not MyItem but item.minecraft.air

I also noticed that "Registration checkpoint" appeared earlier than loading items in the console

How can I solve this problem?

You can't just create a new instance of your item class. You need to use the instance that you registered.

Yes. Thanks a lot!
