Crash when launching forge from IDE

Everytime I run minecraft from an IDE (I tried both Eclipse and IntelliJ) it crashes during the loading screen at 1/5 "Constructing Mods" and 3/5 "Forge Mod Loader".

My mods folder is empty and the mod I try to make does nothing. I already tried deleting my whole .minecraft folder. I also deleted my project multiple times and tried to set it up again.

It works fine when I just lauch it via the Minecraft Launcher.

My MDK version is: 1.12.2-14.23.5.2854

  I have downgraded it to before March 2025 as that's when Create 0.6 updated. It seemed to work, tysm!!

  I read Resource Packs Resources Tutorial:Creating a resource pack As I understood I should place my resource pack files in: src/main/resources/ ├── META-INF │ └── mods.toml ├── assets/ ├── pack.mcmeta └── pack.png But in Minecraft, if I open Options > Resource Pack, I cannot find my resource pack. However, if I zip the files above and put the zip into run/resourcepacks/MyFirstMod.zip, my resource pack shows up in Minecraft. I assumed that ./gradlew build would take care of bundling my resource pack. Or am I supposed to zip the files and place them in run/resourcepacks manually?
