[RESOLVED] Help on Installing Forge for 1.6.1 (MCP jars Folder Question)

Hello all, and thank you for reading this. I have a question. For one, I am new to modding and I learned how to install everything necessary for modding in 1.5.2. However, now that Minecraft has no bin folder, what do I put in the "jars" folder for MCP? I tried putting a fresh "1.6.1" folder in, but to no avail, Forge Source did not install properly, and I think that may be the issue. Thanks for all the help, in advance!

Dont download mcp and dont try to install it manually. Just get forge make a folder for it and drag the forge source inside and click install

 

So, you no longer need MCP to create a Forge mod?

 

I see now, Forge SRC Install.cmd will now install MCP... IDK if it's ever done that before, but it does! Thanks for your help! I was about to ask what do I put in the jars folder, but it did it all for me!

      Do you have shaders enabled? There is an issue with the mod simpleclouds - remove this mod or disable shaders, if enabled

      Maybe you need to create file in assets/<modid>/items/<itemname>.json with content like this:   { "model": { "type": "minecraft:model", "model": "modname:item/itemname" } }
