  7. I've been trying to get an old modpack of mine working again (MC version 1.20.1, Forge version 47.4.8) & I finally got it to just load into the homescreen. Unfortunately, now its crashing whenever I try to start Singleplayer, specifically when its trying into the Create a New World screen. I've attached the latest Crash Report, though if that alone isn't enough I can also attach the Log in a comment. If anyone can help me figure out what's causing the issue I'd really appreciate it.

  16. Hiho, first of all I want to say that the new forum design looks really good. However, there are currently two issues: In the "Unread" section, the "Mark all as Read" feature seems to be missing - or am I just overlooking it somewhere? Some threads don’t automatically get marked as read when you open them. So the post still shows up in "Unread," even though you’ve already viewed it. Example Thread: https://forums.minecraftforge.net/topic/159415-cannot-find-client-log-entries/ Then I have a smaller suggestion, referring to the Text Editor: It is possible to move out the "Inline Code"-Feature from the "More Formatting Options" and add it directly to the Text Editor Tool Bar? Same for "Quote"-Feature inside the Create Section These two features are used quite often (at least by me) - as far as I remember, they were also available in the old forum design. @Paint_Ninja @LexManos
  17. That fixed it! it's still being weird and not actually printing anything to CMD but the logs look fine and eventually the gui generated looking normal. Thanks for your help I've done that on linux before but windows servers have always just worked with one click for some reason for me

  19. Make sure you are using Java 17 JDK In the start script, replace the word "java" with the java 17 path (javaw.exe) and put it into quotation marks

Hey there, I have a big modpack I'm trying to run that I've put together with two other rather large communities- we have a grand opening scheduled for next week so it's really important that this gets solved ASAP. The game runs fine in singleplayer, but when trying to run as a server using a hosting website, I've run into quite a massive error log. I've whittled it down to this point- I'm currently not sure what to do, as I believe the main error is relating to the datapack message, but I don't know for sure. Removing the datapack folder doesn't change the message either. https://mclo.gs/2aTdXII If the fix is something very simple, I apologize. I'm not too experienced with hosting websites and running large modpacks like this on a server. I'm also not completely sure of which mods are client-only- a large handful of which are already disabled but I could be missing some. I just don't know which ones they would be, if that's causing the issue.

  24. Okay so I was trying to boot an MC Eternal 2 Server, I downloaded the latest server files from Curse which include a 47.4.2 jar. Whenever I install the server files into my folder and attempt to boot the server, I get Error: Could not find or load main class @user_jvm_args.txt in the cmd and nothing else. Now, MCE2 does have its own custom args so I deleted those and tried simple xms and xmx args, but that didn't let the server boot either. I assumed that maybe my java version was out of date, but I have the latest version of Java Installed and I even installed the Java 17 SDK for good measure just in case Java 25 is too recent for the pack. Still no avail. I tried running a vanilla 1.20.1 and it boots just fine, but for some reason the forge server still won't boot. Does anyone know anything I could try?
  25. Perhaps the slaked lime needs to be at a specific temperature (or needs to be stabilized before use).

  31. Try replacing implementation with minecraftLibrary. Dependencies in the minecraftLibrary configuration are added to your compile and runtime classpaths in ForgeGradle 6.
  32. Allocated 10 Gb of ram. Could try again with more but I read using too much can slow things down as well. Going to try another big modpack and see if i can replicate the problem. It seems like this cartographer problem is kind of popular and doesn't have a solid solution yet, but i suspect its some generation mod since it's a crash that happens when specific chunks are being loaded. so i'll still try to lookout for what mod it could be as i add. i'll report back after testing as you suggested for a bit
