  12. That's not Java edition, that's Bedrock/Windows 10 Edition
  13. This is a .1.12.2 log Note that in mod dev your debug.log will live in run/logs, not .minecraft/logs

  16. Oh you're looking at the "How to manually run a jar" video, that's the wrong one. Though he's just using it to open cmd, your equivalent would be opening finder, going to Applications/Utilities, and running Terminal

  18. You've said you tried switching the option but Twitch switched it back, that's why I recommended the method in my video
  19. I know what directory it's expecting, but I don't know why the directory isn't already created and filled
  20. That's not your issue, your issue seems to be a required directory not being present and it worries me that it's not been filled by the launcher when you're trying to launch the game

It shouldn't be that much different, just make sure you have the Minecraft launcher and Java installed, run the launcher once to make sure all the default files are present, then close the launcher and run the Forge installer, then open the launcher and make a new installation that uses the freshly installed Forge version and set the Game Directory to use the modpack's instance directory. (I recommend https://adoptopenjdk.net for Java)
