  1. I've used just about every tutorial I could find on the net including the ones here, trying to find one that will help me spawn my own plants in the world. I am currently using the ore generation code to try to add my plants but it's not working. Has anyone seen a tutorial anywhere that works for the new forge? EDIT: I know there are hooks in place in forge already, but I guess that I am not getting something right. My plant is like a flower except it doesn't spread. Basically like a pumpkin. To be more specific, my plant is a block that I want to randomly generate in the world and do nothing else. No ticks, no onNeighborChange stuff. EDIT 2: Well I figured it out finally, but I really doubt that it's conventional. Although a bit unorthodox I'll create a small tutorial and post it for those that are having the same issue I was. 3. Well since I've been modding I've never really needed many tutorials. However, recently I've gone past my expertise and need a few pointers, but when I look at the tutorials, they are mostly out of date (easily transcribed to the new versions for me), but the sheer lack of tutorials is a let down. Basically, I'm looking for a forum or group of tutorials that isn't on YouTube, sorry but most YouTube tutorials are filled with crazy blathering and unorthodox programing. Hell, even if someone knows of some good, structured YouTube videos I'd like a point in the right direction. Thanks to anyone who can help. Happy modding! :o 8)
