    Please help, I've tried everything I can think of, I've tried reinstalling vanilla version 1.12.1 and running it, I've tried installing forge while the launcher was opened and closed, I've tried installing several different versions of forge and none of them work, I feel like I'm losing my mind here.

    Okay, so I install the forge installer. I run it and set it to install the client into my Minecraft folder. It says it successfully installed into the launcher. I open the Minecraft launcher, and when I go to change versions, forge 1.12.1 isn't there! I check the version folder in .minecraft, and 1.12.1 forge is definitely there. What am I doing wrong?? T_T Here is the copy/paste of forge-1.12.1-14.22.1.2478-installer.jar text document...
