    Thanks to my own ignorance, we have installed and paid for the Windows 10 version of Minecraft. That was fine for the past 8 months or so until we discovered add ons and Forge. I know I need the Java version for Forge to install and run. I know I will have to pay again. I'll get over it. My question is: Can I have both versions of minecraft Windows 10 and Java installed on the same computer? Will both work (obviously not at the same time)? Forge has so many features we want but the Windows 10 version allows friends with tablets to join us and vice versa when in a multiplayer mood. Sorry if this isn't the right forum, can someone point to the right one if I messed this up too.
