Ugh, what I wouldn't give to run legacy LegendGear, Quark, and the current version of Pixelmon all on 1.7.10. I'm not sure if it's possible, but could someone make a mod that somehow automatically and passively allows any versions of mods, older or newer, to work with 1.7.10, adding vanilla features required by mods as needed?
