  1. Thanks, I have notified Mineplex to drop 1.6 connections, sorry for the trouble. It seemed like a Forge connection because it happened on a lot of other servers. Turns out they were all faking 1.6 connections too. They should all drop since Forge is stable and mods are being updated now.
  2. Latest Forge ( latest.log: [01:57:02] [main/INFO]: Loading tweak class name cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker [01:57:02] [main/INFO]: Using primary tweak class name cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker [01:57:02] [main/INFO]: Calling tweak class cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker [01:57:02] [main/INFO]: Forge Mod Loader version for Minecraft 1.7.2 loading [01:57:02] [main/INFO]: Java is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.7.0_51, running on Windows 7:amd64:6.1, installed at d:\Program Files\Java\jre7 [01:57:02] [main/INFO]: Loading tweak cla
  3. I was that day, but the important part is this: [19:19:54] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Exception Connecting:IllegalReferenceCountException : refCnt: 0 @ io.netty.buffer.AbstractByteBuf:1173 Which happens when the server tries to connect you to another server. For example a hub that connects you to a minigame.

  5. Exception Connecting:IllegalReferenceCountException : refCnt:0 @ io.netty.bufffer.AbstractByteBuf:1173 Is caused when a server (my case us.mineplex.com) tries to connect you to a different server. I couldn't find a forge.log (maybe 1.7 doesn't have this), but MultiMC gave me this log: https://gist.github.com/joshnoodle/8427093
