Ah. As i remember, If you double-click on the forge jar, it launches the server and binds the port but doesen't show any console. You have to make a batch file with @ECHO OFF java -jar <JAR FILE NAME>.jar nogui PAUSE And launch that, not the jar file. Also restart your computer so the background running server closes.

Any launcher will work. Try removing soggy transportation and see if that will fix it.

What IP and port is he using? By default it is run on port 25565 unless manually changed. For him it would be localhost:25565 Are you on separate networks? Are you using a VPN is so? Which one? As i remember a timeout error is when the other side does not respond so most likely he is using the wrong ip.

Ah. There's the problem. It's too little Ram / not enough to allocate to MC to play with 50 mods Assuming your computer takes ~2Gigs with NOTHING open, just to run windows, That would cut it close. MC allocates 3Gigs by default as i remember and depending on your mods that you have installed, If most of them add more blocks and etc., try allocating more ram to minecraft. My friend has 6Gigs of ram also and a crappy PC, he can run MC at only ~20 FPS. No mods. Whenever i play Skyfactory3, it has 180mods, I have to allocate 6Gigs to MC to play smoothly. It also takes ~20 minutes to load. I have: Intel Core i5-4590 @ 3.30GHz 16 Gigs of DDR3 RAM Correct me if I'm wrong guys please and ill edit the post. I don't want to give out false info.

I think a better way of saying that is: Versions below 1.10 are no longer supported on this forum. Use the latest version to receive support. What launcher are you using though?

No offense or anything but people who don't know that file:///C:/Users/ethan/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/logs/debug.log doesn't work on the other computers should just be let pasting the log in a spoiler. They'll just give up even faster when ppl say to use a Gist or Pastebin.

Right, just use a different version of forge, make a new server, carry over your world if you already have one.

Change the JVM argument in the luancher profile from -Xmx2G to -Xmx4G

Try reinstalling forge.
